About Me

I began my teaching career in the fall of 2004. I taught at Lincoln-Way Central for five years and then moved to Lincoln-Way West when it opened in 2009. I have taught Computer Programming (C++), Algebra AB, Algebra 1, Plane Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, Honors Pre-Calculus, Semester Statistics, AP Statistics, AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, and AP Computer Science (Java). While at Lincoln-Way, I have coached freshman football and Mathletes as well as sponsored Intramurals and Student Council. I also taught for five years for Sylvan Learning Centers - three years in Frankfort, IL and two more in Merrillville, IN.

I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2002. I stayed for two more years and earned my Master's in Education in 2004. I did my student teaching at Champaign Central High School and at Jefferson Middle School. Before college, I graduated from Lincoln-Way High School in 1998 and was a member of the 1997 State Champion Football team. I was also a part of Mu Alpha Theta and Pi Sigma Pi.
